The Pittsburg High School Science Club travels to the Badlands in South Dakota to study geology, flora and fauna of the region. We also visit the following while on our trip: Ashfall Fossil Beds, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Mt. Rushmore, Wall Drug, SDSM Geology Museum, Missile Site, Palisade State Park, Crazy Horse Memorial and Devils Tower. WHEW!! Is that enough? 10 students are going to brave a week camping in Nebraska, South Dakota Badlands, Wyoming and Colorado so they can explore, challenge themselves, and grow in an outdoor experience.
